My soap making process

I started with the idea of giving a gift. I always celebrated the love of creating something from the heart. Handmade soap is an extension of that love.

When making homemade soap it is the combination of oils, butters and fats with a water and lye solution that creates a chemical reaction called Saponification , a word I have learned to love. Using a combination of different oils like Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Castor Oil, Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil as well as many others add something unique to the soap being created. When I choose to use Cocoa Butter or Shea Butter that also adds a unique part of the soap I create. While I am creating I also give thought to the Clays, Spices and Natural Ingredients like fresh Cucumber or Aloe Vera as the Essential Oil Blends that add fragrance.

There are so many combinations to make a soap that it seems endless and yet at the same time it gives me the opportunity to combine things like goats milk, oatmeal and honey to create a gentle natural way to cleanse. Using fresh ingredients like Cucumber and Aloe Vera to clays and Spices like Turmeric and Cinnamon. I am constantly adding and taking away ingredients to provide the best soap I can create.

I hope you enjoy using my soaps as much as I enjoy making them.
